CEREC crowns are the perfect remedy for a multitude of dental issues that would require the use of a dental crown—such as broken or fractured teeth, or teeth compromised by decay or infection. Here’s what you can expect during your appointment:
- To begin the crown procedure, your dentist will start by carefully removing any decay from your tooth before preparing it for the crown fitting.
- To prepare the tooth, it will be reshaped and sculpted in order to accommodate a crown.
- Next, we’ll use a small camera to take a digital impression of your prepped tooth. This information will then be uploaded onto our computer and used to design the perfect crown for you.
- This design will be sent to our manufacturing machine, where the CEREC technology works to create your precise and flawless prosthetic crown.
- Once the restoration is complete, it will be ready for placement.
